Our Te Wiki O Te Reo Maori workshop sat close to our hearts as we got to celebrate Te Reo Māori and give the opportunity to our community to join us in celebrating MĀORI LANGUAGE week the best way we know how - candle making!
The owner of Fayora Candles is part Maori from an Iwi called Ngati Porou, this is our way of expressing how proud we are to be Maori and our love for where we come from, representing our people and land.
Te Wiki O Te Reo Māori is a government-sponsored initiative in Aotearoa intended to encourage New Zealanders to promote the use of the Māori language which is an official language of the country. Māori Language Week is part of a broader movement to revive the Māori language.
